Since 2013, we have challenged bakeries to help us celebrate the sweet victory of cancer survivorship for one week, beginning the first Sunday of June, National Cancer Survivor Day. In years past, bakeries in New York City, Long Island, Westchester, and New Jersey have created signature confections for their patrons. Proceeds from these items have been donated to Chemo Comfort to support our programs.
“People say I embody the saying ‘When life gives you lemons, make lemonade,’” said Paolucci, Founder of Chemo Comfort. “I believe this sweetening is found in the privilege of sharing the trials and joys of cancer survivorship. And now we have added the sweetest thing of all the spirit of people coming together to celebrate cancer survivors with Confections for Comfort.”
We thank the many vendors that have designed sweet treats and participated in Confections for Comfort in years past. Thank you for supporting Chemo Comfort and enjoy your confection!
